Altered Glass

I have a thing for glass bottles. I just can’t bear to throw them away! These are examples of bottles that have been recycled into art objects.

Altered Photos

In 2005, I wrote a book called Picture Perfect, about how to alter photographs using simple techniques. Some of these pieces are work from the book, and some are just examples of work I did as I was developing the idea for it.

Art Dolls

Every so often, I make a doll that needs her moment in the sun…

CDs

Even office supplies aren’t safe at my house.

Dominos

Periodically, I feel the need to stamp on something that refuses to cooperate. Dominos fill that need nicely. They’re perverse, slippery, and I end up tossing more than I keep. Every once in a while though, I come up with a gem, and turn it into jewelry.

Handmade Papers

I make papers from all sorts of weird stuff. These are the ones I remembered to scan before using.

Playing Cards

I love using playing cards as a base for altered art.

Postcards

I make postcards two ways: either I take an old postcard and alter it, or I create a digital collage, print it out on cardstock, and add dimensional elements to it. Either way, they’re nice to have laying around the house to include in packages.

Rubber Stamping

I don’t often do pieces that are entirely rubber stamped—but here are a few.

Transfer Art

These pieces were all created using various image transfer techniques.
